what file handles the time spent on location for patrols. I want to reduce the time needed to stay in the patrol area.

just open with word or notepad.

Thats not the one. There was a mod awhile back but i couldnt find it. where ur mission is to patrol an area and it shortened the time you had to be there instead of spending 24 hours in the area.

Can't help as far as the MOD, I have not seen that mod, but Mush Martin is right if you can't find the mod all the missions in the game are written just like Single Missions. They create a zone and then an 'Objective' in the case of a patrol.

So if you can't find the MOD you can change the time, but there are a lot of missions, it might be easier just to time compress through it. It would be all the missions that are Patrols. (This example is the US/Japanese side)
