New Batman thread

I didn't see a thread on the new batman movie, so I'm startin' one

. I saw the new movie today, all 2 and a half hours of it. I thought it was pretty good. I'm not really into combic book stuff, but I liked it. I really liked Leder's character, it was really dark. If you haven't seen it, I think its worth the trip.

Did they have all the captions like "Bam", "Bop", "Smack" etc... When Batman would beat the crap out the goons?

Yep, excellent movie. I wish the first one (Batman Begins, not Burtons version) had stuck closer to Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, but both of them are better than anything that came before. Dark Knight isn't as much fun as some superhero movies, but Batman isn't supposed to be fun.

And yes, Heath Ledger's last performance is truly frightening, funny and fabulous all at the same time.

No, Frame, what they had was guys dressed up like wannabe Batmen getting murdered in awful ways. This is a very grim movie.

Some people are saying it's esponsible for some underhanded dirty tricks campain on the imdb.com website.

The Dark Knight is now rated with a average feedback of 9.4 out of 10, knocking the Godfather off it's no.1 perch, down into no.3, after the Shawshank redemption.

it has been said that people are giving 10 to the dark night and giving low scores to other movies that threaten the dark knights no.1 spot.

I don't care, I didn't think the godfather was all that great, and I'll be seeing the dark night this weekend.

Maybe it's just the picture. I thought she looked fine, if not uber-hot, and she did an okay job and had some good scenes. When a friend of mine complained about her acting I said "Would you rather have had Katie Holmes again?" That shut him up.
