Hey everyone, I've been away for awhile. Real life junk... Haha I started playing SH3 again a few days ago, and decided to use some newfound knowledge to make a skin.
The Blue Hunter is an IXC Type skin that is based off a paint scheme that was on the Hunt II destroyer in the stock game. I liked the design so much I put it on a uboat, and of course, I'm gonna share! The only "issue" I ran into was that the colors from the hull ended up on the railings. After tinkering around with it and not finding a solution, I looked at some other skins by Fubar and Steed and some of them were the same way. I figured I'd leave it be then because it actually looks cool that way. Not bad for my first mod. ![]() ![]() ![]() Available for download here Let me know what you guys think. |

Looks nice to me!
![]() But how about the conning tower? How would it look like if it also had the camo painting? |

Thanks for the advice everyone. I actually did have the conning tower painted with the design, but the more I looked at it, the more I felt it was overcooked. So that's why I just matched it to the base grey that I was using.
How exactly would I put more rust on the boat? Is it as simple as finding a picture of rust and blending it in? Thanks Wolfehunter, that means alot coming from you. You have some great skins out there, a few of them are on my boats as we speak. ![]() |

Lutzow- Thanks alot! Feel free to add that to your vault. That has been extremely valuable to the community here for lots of classic skins!
Wolfehunter- I feel the same way, every mod, no matter how big or small, adds to the depth of this game. |
