Using SHCommander and JSGME and readme files
Hi All
I am fairly new to SH3 and i cannot get enough of it and also reading all the posts from all you great people out there and i have already gotten some help from some of the guys and it has been great,,but some times i think that mods can be very confusing for a person like myself that is not great with computers i can deal with the hardware end but not the software bit ( like looking in to a bush to me ! ) ie. loading SHCommander and if a mod is jsgme ready and if one mod will conflict with another when it is enabled and how to fix it. I will give you an example at the moment when i try to load SHCommander i get the following message, INVALID ARGUMENT TO DATE ENCODE, i have not a clue how to resolve it or even know what is wrong so i can learn from it,also the conflicts i get when i try to enable mods or to try to download the lastest version of JSGME and i get the updated JSGME version but no mods on the screen to enable ?,how do i bring the mods from the old version,i have followed the user info but i still must be doing something wrong, is the cause of all my problems the mods that i have installed ? i have listed them below. GWX - Alternative Flotillas GWX - Captain America's Officer Icons GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects GWX - No Medals on Crew GWX 2.1 Minor fix's 26th April GWX 2.1 Mission Orders Seafloor SF V3 Final QueenMaryFixed IXD2 MK4 Thomsen Dockside by Payoff WH_IX_Series_Final_2048 LifeBoats&Debris_v3B Schleuse_Brunsbuettel_Holtenau_MOD_V.1.0 Church Obs Per for GWX 2.0 (Integrated Orders) Cargo_Crater V1 AOTD-AA-Ship-Schleuse-Bugfix So really what it comes down is their a online manual that can help some one like me that does not have a great knowledge of computers and using fies and folders and is there others like me with the same problem ?. Sorry if this is a bit long winded but i am trying to get across my frustrament at trying to get SH3 to work right,( up to May 1944 and it crashes ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank a lot for reading Merchant Raider ![]() |

For a start this mod AOTD-AA-Ship-Schleuse-Bugfix Is an updated version of these 2 so they are not needed GWX 2.1 Minor fix's 26th April Schleuse_Brunsbuettel_Holtenau_MOD_V.1.0 I dont know wht all of those mods are ![]() I use LifeBoats&Debris_v3B with no problems GWX 2.1 Mission Orders should cause no problems nor should GWX - Alternative Flotillas GWX - Captain America's Officer Icons GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects GWX - No Medals on Crew Not sure on the others although if you are using the Alt flotillas Quote:

If the IXD2 MK4 is my skin mod that is just a texture mod or another way to put it eye candy so you should not get problems from there unless you clash with any other skins apart from that.

I get this when i load BUGFIX "Flotilla.cfg" has already been altered by the "GWX - Alternative Flotillas" mod. "de_menu.txt" has already been altered by the "GWX - Alternative Flotillas" mod. Folder "data\Textures\TNormal\tex" has already been added by the "IXD2 MK4" mod. |

Ok in order
GWX 2.1 AOTD + bugfix Ths will give you an error re campaign files changed Alternative Flotilla mod will cause an error on the flotilla cfg as is releacing the GWX 2.1 flotila cfg - has too for the changes The texture error is just telling your that folder was added to in * mod and is about to be added to again so no problems |

Folder "data\Textures\TNormal\tex" has already been added by the "IXD2 MK4" mod = this means that the latest mod loaded added to this FOLDER and SHOULD NOT cause issues as no files were actually overwritten. Hope that this clarifies things for you a bit. |
