Default Iranians now are going to put bloggers to death!

Scary times to live in Iran and say something slightly wrong!

They kill you for leaving your religion (Islam) !!! My god !!! How can you even prove that ?
"He hasn't been to the masq in a while !"

????

Their entire justice system seems pretty much set up to get people out of the way who could be a thorn in the side to the regime.

You pretty much called it. Control is the name of the game. But isn't that the goal of any government? Guess some are just more subtle than others.

On the bright side, it is a sign that they are finding it harder to control the media.
They can't hold back the tide forever.

I'm not sure whether to praise them for killing off bloggers, or condemn for killing people who express themselves freely. :hmm: I am leaning towards the latter though.

The threat to attack Iran is very real to me, from Israel's threat if Obama is elected to President Bush's fleet exercises off their shores.

It feels wrong to think we could be doing their society a favor with a direct hit on their nuclear power for weapons program.

They would have to start all over again by over throwing the present regime and installing a pro-western president and cabinet.

Sort of feels redneck in a way, but what if it really happened?

We tried that already in 1953. Now look at where we are.

Because it is a ridiculously short sighted, hypocritical, dangerous excuse for a real foreign policy?

Aren't parts of Seattle under sharia law? What are you going to do if they catch you?:p

What was that Japanese emperor's name back in 45?
Emperor Hirohito I think ... Japan got the hint, unconditional surrender

After we killed 3+% of their population. After we nuked them. After we stationed ~350K-400K (Including Brits, Aussies, New Zealand and whatnot) troops /when there wasn't even an insurgency worth noting/ to ensure nobody "tried anything". Yes, then they submitted unconditionally and we put a government there without anybody having the will to resist.

And we can't do that anymore. Not without a draft and the public widely backing a war. Bin Laden killed more American civilians than any Axis power and how many troops were stationed in Afghanistan?

Apples and oranges.
