Whilst googling for more information for my blog this morning I came across this obituary:

Vice-Admiral Sir Anthony Troup KCB,DCS and bar had been one of Linton's protégées.I had met him for lunch last month to discuss the loss of Linton and HMS Turbulent.I feel deeply honoured to have met him and I just wish I could have asked him so many more questions.

The BBC radio 4 will be devoting part of their Last Word programme tomorrow to cover the life of Troup.It can also be heard through the web here:
