Vista + sound problems

Hi, Does anyone run SH3 in Vista (64bit) ? Some of the sounds like the up/down periscope sounds and the clicking type sounds when switching torpedoes are not making sound. I am also using the Direct download version of SH3 if that matters. I am not using any mods either, not until i resolve this sound issue. I know there were alot of problems just getting the game to run in Vista, but the sound problem eludes me. Thanks!

Could be a driver issue if u upgraded the OS recently from XP or similiar. Check on the web of ure mobo if there are any for vista 64bit. I had this prob temporary when i had only 1 gig RAM installed switching to vista 64bit. An extra pci soundcard would be handy to get the most out of this game. No more shared DMA/IRQ.
