Default [REQ] A playable pirate ship.

I've seen some work on here from some very talented playable shipbuilders and I know it might be a lot to ask for but as most of you probaby know, SH4 has The Flying Dutchman sailing about, doing whatever ghostships do.
Now, I'm a huge fan of pirates (not that I dislike submarines or something but imagine a Ghost ship hammering down on the japanese fleet) and especially Pirates of the Caribbean.

After watching it again for the so manyeth time, I felt like I wanted to sail in that ghost ship so I was wondering if any of you playable shipbuilders could work on making one (US preferable as I'd have to tweak and bug up the Flottilla file to keep Xantrokoles' PocketBB if it's GER) for me and every other pirateship lover on these forums.

Well... Either that or give me a noob-proof step by step guide on how I should do that and considering I'd like those cannons playable, it's probably not exactly easy to do wich is why I'd rather have someone else do it for me... If possible.

It doesn't have to be indestructible either (where'd be the fun in that?) but if someone could actually build this boat, make sure it doesn't get destroyed immediatly.
Oh, oh! And diving... It needs diving..... *Whistles innocently as he plans to surface the Dutchman next to a Merchant.*

If one of you would actually do this, I'd be very grateful...

Edit: I already attempted to make the ship but I only get as far as the "Please Wait" screen after loading before a CTD. Could anyone fix it? Maybe add a couple guns? Make it playable and the likes...

Everything's just called Newsub as it was just to check if it worked with me... BTW, all of the textures are actually one and the same as it caused the whole game to crash during loading and I didn't have more then one texture to use.
I know, I'm hopeless at this...

Hello Sylvanas and welcome to Subsim,

Your Ghostship is a very nice ship.
But making it playable, it would just be a 'candy for the eyes' thing and after the second time, you think:
mhmm I better choose the Balao, it is more fun to play.

Maybe you can search for Keltos01. He is able to do this for you in a few seconds

As far as I know the model and skin (there's only one) are in Data/Sea/NFD.
I found the roster file for the Flying Dutchman and it pointed me to Data/Sea/FD or something and NFD could stand for NetherlandsFlyingDutchman as it's the only one with FD in its name...

Edit: On the other hand, doesn't look like it was that....
Edit2: I'm searching my whole computer now for the files (I only found the Roster file for it so I'm using that to find the rest).
Edit3: Well... The .dat file in NFD does seem to point to the Flying Dutchman so I gues NFD is the map that contains at least most files for the ship.

The thing is I'm really busy with the Hms Truant right now, and have another Jap sub on the backburner too, so not much time to devote to a ghost ship I'm affraid...

Here's what I can do : find me the .dat for that ship of yours, and I'll make you a basic playable ship, not saying it will be perfect and all cause that takes a lot of work and time, but that'll be a start for you.

You find the ships files (dat, sim, etc..) then tell me where they're at.

Well, I had a little look at the nodes for the AI Dutchman but I don't think it's right...
All of the cannons safe for 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 say the rotation forall three textboxes is 0.

The ones that don't have zero everywhere (6,...) say "3,14159226" in both the first and the last rotation box (XY and YZ).

I don't know if that might help but it's the best I can do.

I'm basing this on Mikhayl's Small Oiler mod, the guns here are all 25mm, I'll try and get this boat ingame but there's more to it than the hull... (masts etc...)

so don't get overexcited !
