Historical campaign changes rel settings?

I want to play the game at 70-something% realism. Mainly without manual torpedo programming and with an event camera. Whenever I start a historical campaign, however, auto-TDC is gone and the game wants me to target manually. When I go back to menu and enter the realism settings, realism is at 100%. Manual targeting on, event camera off. ???

I got RFB 1.4 and RSRD 1.4 installed.

Is there a way to help it (contrary to hist battles and patrols the hist campaign doesn't offer rel settings in the respective start screen) or are historical campaigns just 100% comma?

Thx for help!

Have a look in your office while in port. There's a radio or something to your left;

It's for your campaign options, you'll find realism settings in there.

Hmm... daja vu. :hmm:

No, it isn't really obvious untill you accidentally mouse over it ,highlighting it. Don't worry about it too much, in my case the search usually turns up nothing or way too much, most of the time it's easier to just ask.

This was faster then looking for the other thread, and a new thread was already started by you anyway. If I just yelled "use the search!" at everyone, I doubt they would help me in return.

Welcome aboard! (but you probably heard that already)

The radio on my screen is only displayed off screen. I was quite puzzled when I went back from your tip to look for it in the game. Until I accidentally clicked and drew the picture of the office and the view pivoted to the left.

Yup, I had the exact same problem, took a little fishing around to solve. I could not understand why options were not working as I had set them in my campaign, until I realised I had to set them again from that not-so-easy to find icon in the office room. Not exactly intuitive.

Regards

Nope, not to intuitive at all. Luckily the first thing I wondered when I saw my office for the first time was wether I could look around.

As a side note; there's a small blackboard left of the large map (where you click to start patrol). It doesn't highlight anymore in 1.4, but if you click it you can see a list of aces. Handy to check your total tonnage.
