What are they? Looks to have an aircraft boom on the foredeck. Are they some sort of commercial seaplane transport?

It was a measure taken after the RAF couldn't guarantee aircraft escort for all convoys. The merchants would carry so called Sea Hurricanes (or Hurricats?) which were stripped of their landing-gear. After they did their job, the pilots were left a few options:
1) Fly to a nearest airfield (often few were around at sea) 2) Ditch the aircraft near a freighter, and hope you get picked up 3) Bail out near a freighter, and hope you get picked up (or seen at all) I've not seen any of those CAM's being armed with a catapult yet though (1941 here), can they actually launch aircraft?
