Default [Tec] Flicker of hope for Alantic lovers

This are screenshots from the SH4 MISSIONS EDITOR:

You see ships and Aircraft
And the ships are working.
For having this working, it just costs me 682 Roster files entries. It is not a rip of GWX or LSH3 but is borrowed from the ******* Addon-CD, which is a collection of stolen mods by this and other modder communities. I am sorried I can't give you the name of its real developer.
When you ask yourself wether I picked this layers, I just can tell you that there is harbour traffic without tons of new ships.
I just can tell you it is nice to see living german and french harbours and convoys in THE place for U-boats

Aree they all in a single layer, or distributed in several, like SH4?

Placing all stuff in one layer will cause the game to have slower loading times and performance, neglecting the great advance done by the coders in dynamic loading of units

Mikhayl:
The loading times are longer. Anyway they are much faster than Sh3 and you can see the more powerfull engine of SH4. I guess it is arround 10 seconds, but it is not problematical.
The ships are all out of Sh3, no uv-maps, cheap look, BUT SINKING :-)
When you look at the stock SH4 game, you see that the most important British ships, made by the devs.

Gimpy:
Better Wolves of the World's Oceans, cause we have no land units

Keltos:
Lorient,St.Nazaire,Bordeaux, La Pallice, Toulon, Salamis, La Spezia, Kiel, Wilhelmshafen,Flensburg, Bergen, Narvik, Trondheim and Konstanza
This are the supported flotillas; you can say I am at copiing www.Uboat.net

OakGroove:
Let's say almost no performance

Hitman:
This are only 3 layers. When I will recognize too big loading times, it will be split them.

General:
When I imagine, I can use Mikhayl's IIB, Lurker's work on the VIIC, IXB, IXC...
I got the player Submarines.
Okay I can work on the connings for the better Sh4-IXD2 so we have a great
IX types+II types
Spending time in the VII, it will be good enough.
The campaign files are almost ready, just some missions.
Upgrades are good importable.
We got a huge arsenal of SH3 mods.

So my imagination:
Having a standart mod, compareable with SH3 stock, just better.
With this mod we open the world for campaign, submarine, structure and upgradepack[...] modifications.

I’ve been working on SH4 campaigns for a while now, and what I’ve learned is that SH3 Campaign layer, specially the .SCR files don’t play well with the SH4 game engine. With out a “lot of work” on the various files UPCDataGe and CampaignGe your project may not work correctly.

Thank you for this information. I will be warned.

Besides, having multiple SH4 layers makes it easy to edit and make later additions to a campaign, although it is a lot of initial work to break SH3 layers into multiple SH4 layers. The start of the conversion is time consuming but after a while it gets easier.

After test I can say the Campaign_SCR.mis file is compatible with SH4.

I guess I will work with the submarines, upgrades and flotillas first.
Thanks for this tip

Yes I got the same thing...
The upgrade types are harcoded!
No snorkel, diesel, conning, submarines or other good stuff!

I thought about having a conning as an upgrade but,..tzzzz

This won't be Sh3
IMO the best part of Sh3 is the upgrade part! Honour for your hard work in the seas.

Oh no Mikhayl thats the Problem:p

I heard of ppl driving in 44 with a start of war tower on the fleet boats!

The Submarine.upc is loaded from the savegames...everytime
same with snorkels.
For getting a snorkel on a boat of 43 or so you have to add entries in the savegames.
