Well I hate to say it why are we doing this again? Didn't we kill Bill C-60? So now they're trying it again. So how do we fight the system Canadians?
Here is your answer, http://www.digital-copyright.ca/billc61/blog Look under Petitions for Users Rights. Here is a simple petition site for those who want it easy. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/Kill-Bill-C-61 All the info you need to fight Bill C-61. Don't let them take away our rights. I already told my MP say no to Bill C-61. Here is the details to the bill, http://www2.parl.gc.ca/HousePublicat...guage=e&Mode=1 A Summary, This enactment amends the Copyright Act in order to (a) update the rights and protections of copyright owners to better address the Internet, in line with international standards; (b) clarify the liability of Internet service providers; (c) permit certain uses for educational and research purposes of Internet and other digital technologies to facilitate technology-enhanced learning, inter-library loans, the delivery of educational material and access to publicly available material on the Internet; (d) permit certain uses of copyright material for private purposes; and (e) amend provisions of the Act relating to photographs to give photographers the same rights as other creators So what are you going to do Canadians?:hmm: Note this isn't about bashing the US this is about protecting Canadian laws that is being stripped away by greedy foreign interests. |
