I stated my new sub in '41 with what I thought would really be available. Green officers and bums. I have 7 officers:1 over engine room,1 over each shift in the control room and 1 over each shift on the watch.
I have an NCO over @ shift in the torpedo rooms, the conn, 2ed and 3rd shift in the engine room, and 1 @ shift on watch,plus 1@ on damage and both guns. All others have been replaced by seamen level1, with stats like 4,5,5,3,5. thats 7 oficers, 23 ncos and 71 fresh green swabbies. 1) hows that sound to you ?? 2) most important !!!!!!!!! my swabbies are up to level 3 but thier stats remain the same "4,5,5,3,5. WHEN /Do they go up ?????????????? I thought they would climb up some as they progressed in rank !? 3)what ACTUALLY gives the crew experence?? kills ? days on patrol? # of dives? guesses are welcome BUT hard facts really count. PS forgive the inapproate terms, I am a career army man and sink japs for sport.

That gives you a crew of 101 -- actually 102 if you count yourself.
Trim it down to 65 or so -- more in keeping with actual staffing on a fleet boat. Regards, Feltan |

got answer for 2,, they go up when promoted to 4th, then u choose a skill.
still dont know EXACTLY what gives experence
