no career file

i wanted to change some things in my career by editing the files. ive read many posts and they say to edit the career file. ive searched everywhere and i dont seem to have one. im overlooking something apparently.

ive been trying to edit things for days now, for example speed on my sub, and nothing happened. im completely lost. will someone more capable please help.

Welcome aboard, mate!

For careers have a look in your Own Data Folder.

For speedsettings goto (C:\Programs)\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submari ne and select your choosen boat.

Open CFG with notepad/editor!

is there a different data folder im havent seen? i go into ubisoft/silenthunterIII/data/cfg and there is no career. tried changing the speed on my sub, is there a max i can change it because 40 knots didnt change anything. thanks for the help.

Look in your My Documents folder and you should find a folder labeled SH3, your career file is in there.

If you use SH3 Commander, you will find your career files in My Documents also. They will be in a folder called Personnel Files.
