Default Dodgy Steering on my Boat?

Hello,

I noticed something occur playing tonight (it's happened before, but not in a "combat" situation).

After taking 3 ships out of a convoy, I dive to 120m, go silent and plot 4 way points to ease myself away from the repercussions. However, rather than adjusting the planes to move to the first waypoint, the boat starts kinda circling it, like it is tied by a rope to it, making a spiral pattern, rather than heading directly for it. I'm sure it wasn't damaged in any way in the patrol up until now. DC's are raining down from above, so I really want to get out of there: only when I very quickly deleted the waypoints and put them back on the nav map did the boat start moving as normal, but 10 mins later, it starts doing the same thing again.

Am I doing something really stupid here?

That's happened to me a couple times. I have just deleted the waypoint I was circling and my boat starts heading to the next one.

I think that normally means that your way points are too close together and the poor old girl can't turn sharp enough to cross them. Try spreading them out more next time and see how you go.
