Default Back into SH4 after a while away; game rendering at low resolution been fixed?

Is there a fix for this? I last played the game a year ago, but yesterday I purchased SH4 and the U boat expansion pack.

I was surprised to see the game still rendering the 3D engine at 1024x768, then upscaling. I assumed it would have been fixed by now

Are there any workarounds?

I play SH4 UBM at 1600*1200 and it looks fabulous! No upscaling.

When you launch the game, does it say "1.5" in the bottom right corner of the main menu?

I thought the game looked magnificent before. But it is amazing now. Makes you wonder what the next generation of software and hardware will bring. Eye candy isn't essential, and should always pay second fiddle to game functionality, but it sure is impressive when it all works together! SH4 is a great balance I'd say.
