Default Problem with GWX 2.1

Ever since I installed GWX 2.1 I keep getting a disk read error when SH Commander checks the disk before running. It then tells me that there is a problem with the disk (installes SH ok though). I retry a few times and it eventually runs ok. At least it did that for a while and now won't run at all.
I'm using latest version of commander, and installed everything over a vanilla version of game after properly uninstalling. The disk itslef has only normal wear and tear. I guess I'll have to buy another one if problem persists.
Any ideas?

There is a very simple solution that is probably not supposed to be discussed here.

The 2.1 installer does not in anyway check your disk!
You have other problems.
I know.
I wrote the installer.
SH3 Commander also does not check disks.
Again,
You have other problems.

Next finger pointing Please?

Sounds like a corrupted disk. If you're in a hurry check out the D2D version - you can download it and will never be asked to check a disk again.

Many thanks for the response.
Apologies for the title of my post, it should have read "Problem with my SH3 disk"
It was not my intention to finger point, only to try and get some advice as to how to be able to play this great mod again. That's why I asked for any ideas.

Looks like i should pay for a download of sh3 and then hopefully i should be safe in the future.:p
