I still have a super nintendo with my favorite game Super metroid, those were good old times

I have a relatively new PC and 99% of what I play are old DOS games when I'm not playing Dangerous Waters or Silent Hunter III.

*sigh*

Everything is "Graphics ! Graphics ! GRAPHICS !" with these kids today.

I liked the first Dune alot. Yoy know, the bit of an adventure gamish thing. That was awesome. Tho, still,
'It came from the desert' is one of my favorite old games.

A good example why good grafics not make a game better. Jericho, the grafics are greate, but the gameplay is just sucks. I almost fell asleep while playing and i`am not kiding

The only thing that killed DUNE-2000 for me, was the naff acting.

Are you kidding ? I still play my old Commadore 64 and Atari 2600 games !!!
A good number of those games are a LOT more entertaining than 90% of the shlock they're producing now.

*Waits for the young'uns to chime in "Shut up old man !!! You don't know what's goin' on now !!!*

I still play fallout 1+2, planescape torment and jagged alliance, and they are still fun after all those years. After a short time I tend to forget that we are in 2008 and the graphics dont bother me any more.

Ah and Grand Prix Legends with newest updates/mods is still unsurpassed though it is 10 years old! Says a lot about the state of PC gaming imo.

It's really weird though to play Final Fantasy I and then load up FFXII. I guess it just goes to show how far games and machines have come over the years.

Kind of makes me wonder just what in the world we'll be playing, how we will be playing it and what it will look like 10 years from now.

Many old games are great becasue they were actually trying to make a good game, instead of "what would sell"

I still have a semi-working NES somewhere...hmm...

*Walks off to play Frontier: Elite 2*
