Default Touring the U.S.S. Bowfin

AHOY!

Hey guys,

Just a note to post a link to some pics of my recent tour of the U.S.S. Bowfin (Pearl Harbor, Hawaii). I was there on my last airline trip and spent the morning touring and taking pics of this magnificent boat.

Here they are...

Have a great day all,

BBall

Ball,Great tour!!!! You should apply for a guide on that boat
I really enjoyed all 5 of your segments,I was at Pearl last June but couldn't go on the Bowfin tour because of time constrants,I did see The Arizona and "Mighty MO"

Hope You don't mind if I post a couple shots of her.

Thank You Howler, but I don't want to take away from BBall's fine thread,so if BBall or anyoneelse objects I'll pull them, no problem,I just think all the fine exhibits at Pearl tie in.

HECK NO!

Incredible shots! Thanks for sharing them here.

The bus driver on the way to Pearl told me that the "guided" tour of the U.S.S. Missouri is the way to go (he said the "self" tour was cool...but). You get to learn all the cool things like how much the barrels weigh, etc.

Either way, next PHNL layover, I'm gonna head over and spend some time with the "Mighty Mo".

Thanks again for sharing the pics,

BBall

Very nice tour there BBall! We'd love to have ya over on SUBMARINEMUSEUMS.ORG

I hope, someday in my life, to get to visit Pearl Harbor and all that is there. I'd love even more to catch a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico, go through the Panama Canal, and travel on to Hawaii from there. I don't even know if such is possible.

Hey snakeeyez,

Thanks for the invite...just got registered and posted up my "intro" and a link to the pics in the U.S.S. Bowfin section. GREAT SITE!!!

I'm seeing that I'll have to start bidding my work schedules to be able to visit as many of these boats as I can.

later all,

BBall
