Default WOOOHOOO!!!! GOT My First Big Warships

Playing GWX 2.1 and I just sank my first big warships (something bigger than a dd)

I was cruising along when I got a radio report of a single warship. Cool, I plot to intercept and discover its not 1 but 3 Warships. No Destroyers in Sight, Its one Southhampton Cruiser at about 10k GRT and 2 Auxillery Cruisers at about 13k GRT.

First Eel hit the water at 03:40. By 03:52 it was all over.

Got the Southampton in the nose with a nice slow eel so I'd have time to smack on the first Auxillery. Ran a fast eel right up his ammo dump. Two Boats goin to see davey jone's on only two eels.

Missed completly with the third eel. For some reson that 2nd Auxillery slowed down. Sent another two eels after him for good measure and sent him to visit his friends. That made for a total of about 36k GRT worth of warships.

I LOVE THE SOUND OF COLLAPSING BULKHEADS IN THE MORNING!!!!

Great job man
you're using electric propolution? Maybe that Auxillary saw the bubble trail and slowed down to avoid the eel :hmm:

No, all my eels are steam powered. Set the first to run slow so I'd be able to retarget that first aux and fire, and connect before the first eel hit. Try and maintain that element of surprise as long as possible. It seemed to work. They both impacted and detonated within about 10 seconds of each other.

Yes the steam-powered torpedoes will leave a trail. Nevertheless, they're usually too fast to avoid, even when spotting them soon enough
