Default Okay, this i have to share

Moved to intercept multiple sound contacts at close range, got to them just about an hour before sunrise. Lined up shots on an empire class freighter and a whale factory ship. let out a couple of eels.

suddenly all hell breaks loose, and i mean ALL HELL... it was like a bar fight with the lights switched off!

"Did they see the torpedo wakes?" I ask myself

"nope... they were electric runners.... no wake" i answered

"Well then what the hell is with all the search lights and star shells and gunfire in all directions?!" i asked myself again

funny, none of it is headed my way. :hmm:

I notice that i have sunk the empire class freighter and seriously damage the whale factory ship.

suddenly, on the nav map, little red ship wreck symbols start popping up all around me.

Then a blue one.

"Aww crap did i sink a neutral?" i wondered... "no wait..." i thought "Neutrals are green, German is Blue!! what is a German ship doign in this convoy?"

suddenly it dawned on me, as i scanned the dark horizon with my observation scope i located a sinking VIIB and another VIIB firing its deck gun, sadly the escorts made swiss cheese out of his U-boat.

I was credited with the Granville, but it appears that the u-boats shelled and finished off the whale factory ship - essentially steeling my kill!!

its a good thing those blokes were taken out by the allies... because they had one red hot IXB skipper to contend with other wise.

GWX... anything can happen!!!!

I remember my third patrol, that grid where BdU order me - nothing happens... but RO received messages other U-boats. Lots of tonnages etc. - I take a look at gridmap and... they just my neighbour grid

Anyway, I got tonnages too when hunting another grid

Now now what kind of language is this? We're all together in the fight for the Fatherland. What matters is for the ships to go to the bottom not who's sending them there Yeah right :p

Cool suprises like that are great!

Snuck into a Convoy in AK the other night that seemed oddly spaced. Find out later it has two burning ships from an attack (and a Liner which made for some nice tonnage ).
A limping escort trailing way behind. Out of eels I waited next to a stopped but unsunk tanker and when the gimp got close enough I surfaced and finished her off, and the tanker. Almost got nailed but it was cool.
