My history is repeating itself

The loading screen which gives the history for the month - battles, tonnage sank, etc. is stuck on January 1942, irregardless of what month or year I am playing. Any ideas?

Are you loading up via SH3 Cmdr?
If so, the loading screen seems to stick at the SH3 Cmdr date even if you change your career once you're in SH3. I got really confused when I started a new career in 1939 and the loading screen was giving me 1943 info!

Simply ensure you load up the career you want via SH3 Cmdr rather than changing it when you get into the game.
