Default No ship names in patrol logs...

I'm running SH3 Cmdr 3.0 with the stock game & I've got a problem. I don't see any ship names at the end of my patrols even though I have enabled the "use ship names in patrol logs" option in the career section. Every other option in the program works just fine with no issues. I'm running it with Vista Home Premium (32-bit) & the ship names option worked previously. I'd recently corrected the Galveston TX spelling mistake & I thought that I should reinstall everything as I might have accidently corrupted a file by changing "Galverston" to Galveston.

I took the following steps; in this order :

1) Rolled back Cmdr & uninstalled it
2) Uninstalled SH3 & JSGME removed as many traces of them as I could find
3) Reinstalled SH3, patched it to 1.4, configured the graphic settings & corrected Galveston error
4) Went through Naval Academy to aquire my renown. Did not start any careers or missions
5) Reinstalled JSGME & skins
6) Reinstalled SH3 Cmdr & patrol log plug-in

I know this explanation seems to be a bit "wordy" but I want to provide as much information as I can. The only thing that I might have missed was the SH3 Cmdr.ini file from the first installation.:hmm:

Thank you for your assistance.

The User Guide is your friend.

Quote:
Use real ship names in patrol logs: Select this option to replace the generic Silent Hunter III ship names (ie ‘C3 Cargo’) in the patrol logs with real ship names. Ship names will be added the next time you generate a Personnel File. More ship names and classes can be added to SH3 Commander - see the instructions outlined in 'Ship names.cfg', located in your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.

Q: How do I get real ship names in my Patrol Logs?

A: Firstly select the "Use real ship names in patrol logs" option under SH3 Options|Career Options.

Then, when you next generate a Personnel File for a selected career, the stock SH3 ship names will be updated with real random ship names. After every patrol, generate a Personnel File again to update your latest patrol results and you'll always be up-to-date with real ship names. These ship names will display in both the SH3 Commander Personnel Files and SH3 itself.

Note that if you've changed your SH3 language preference at any time, this will impact on the insertion of ship names. Only logs created using the current selected language will be updated.

Unfortunately, SH3 isn't flexible enough to record different ship names during a patrol, so the standard names will always be recorded.

Thanks for the help Jaesen. Although I had enabled the "Use Real Ship Names" option, I'd forgotten to generate a personnel file after the patrol & went straight to reviewing the patrol history and, as a result, only saw the stock ship types (C2, C3, etc...). I guess that I thought that I might have screwed something up when I edited the Campain_LND file.
