Default IXD2 torpedo slot bug

During a mission, when I tried to reload from the top forward reserve, torpedo didn't load even after 1h although crew was in the torpedo room along with an officer, and the whole slot changed color to grey. After I returned to port and started new mission, the torpedo slot is still grey (its torpedo cannot be seen, but there isn't the usual empty torpedo picture) - so its unusable. How can I get rid of this bug?
I thought it would be fixed in new mission, but it doesn't seem so.

I've got a similar bug with the IXB. Trying to reload from the two topmost external reserves from the stern, the game says that I need people in the bow torpedo compartment. OK, torpedo guys go in the bow compartment, and practically nothing happens. The time to reload box stays at the ~59 mins but doesn't go down. The gray torpedo does change its colour to black (empty) after a while, but eventually just appears back in the external reserve slot. If I have the stern torpedo compartment manned instead, not even this happens.

Any suggestions? I've got GWX2 and SHIII Commander, no other mods.

Try to put an officer and suitably qualified petty officers in the compartment until you see the green efficiency bar across the complete width of the box.

DO NOT submerge until the operation is completed or you will have to start over again

Been there, done that. With four torpedo qualified petty officers and the green bar maxed anyway, they do seem to be doing something with the torps but they sure as hell are not putting them where they should be.

I'm 98.27% sure this is a bug, since only the two topmost externals in the stern are affected. The rest work just fine. And the weird thing really is that if I've got the stern torp compartment maxed, the reload time box says "Loading in N/A. Not enough men in bow torpedo compartment".

Weird...

At times you will get the "Loading in N/A etc" message. Speed up the tc and you should see it move.
Also, ensure your not in 'silent running' mode.

Failing that, I'm out of ideas

Well... 1024xtc, making as much noise as possible. Maybe the stars are currently badly aligned or something...

I managed to get rid of that bug by uninstalling Thomsen's Sound Pack2 and Water_Stream_for_Uboats_V3 mods. After I started new patrol, the slot bug disappeared, even though I didn't get exactly the torpedoes I chose.
