Default If you upgraded but hate the U-Boat intro!

Since my upgrade to the 7900GS graphics card and Opteron 175 processor, I just discovered I have a new ability. I can do movies in Silent Hunter! A Dick O'Kane and Fast-90 tutorial is in the works. I want to do it right, so that's later.

What I have now for my first movie is a demo of putting SH4UBM right by using two mods to put the emphasis back where it belongs: in the Pacific! If you're a U-Boater, the game is already great, but a great many fleet boaters feel like firing up their favorite subsim and having to watch that U-Boat malarkey is just un-American! Well, yo ho to that even though I like U-Boats too.

So let's fix the startup by activating CaptainCox's Silent Service Graphics Mod 1.2C then layering on top of it, Dowly's incredible Pearl Harbor Menu 1.0. These two mods were not intended to work together but they do, having a cumulative effect much greater than the sum of the parts. These mods are not shown in the mod list as 1.5 compatable, but here's the proof.

My first movie is of firing up SH4UBM with these mods installed. Notice that it is a U-Boat game no longer. I have both a 7zip version for download and the avi version that you can stream in small size. It's worthwhile to download it and play in your favorite media player at full size.

Enjoy!
