Ubisoft announce Tom Clancy HAWX Air Combat Game

Ubisoft have waisted no time in putting their $60 million acquisition of the "Tom Clancy" name into good use but not as we would expect in a sneak-em-up but into an air combat game "Tom Clancy's HAWX" interestingly this is also being developed in the SH4 stable at Ubisoft Bucharest here is a an article from GamesIndustry.biz on this forthcoming title.

This is a particularly interesting development as it shows Ubisoft are already thinking brand diversification for the Tom Clancy name....suddenly Ubisoft's "Tom Clancy's Submarine Warfare" doesn't see so far fetched ater all!

I think the trailer suggests a pretty obvious arcade. Probably something in the veins of NovaLogic's old Comanche series.

It sounds a bit like the Amiga game "F/A-18 Interceptor" which led to the "Jetfighter " series
