Overview of the RMS Aquitania
If you ever happen to spot the ship on a patrol, you might find this diagram VERY handy. It is a cutaway that has detailed drawings of the bowels of the ship, and, after reviewing it with the SH3 model, I've concluded that they are almost identical when damage is taken into account. Not much more to say.
http://americahurrah.com/Cunard/CunardDeckPlan1.htm Here's a bit more on the liner (written up to suit the days of SH3, of course): RMS Aquitania Laid Down - December of 1910 Launched - April 21, 1913 Maiden Voyage - May 30, 1914 Tonnage - 45,647 Length - 901 ft. (275.2 m) Beam - 97 ft. (29.6 m) Powering Mechanisms - Shaft-Geared Steam Turbines (59,000 shp.) Propulsion - 4 Propellers Maximum Speed - 23 knots Capacity - 2,200 Passengers Crew Numbers - 972 seamen Notes: -Ship can be fitted to carry fuel, ammunition, cargo, and military personnel. -Prime target given the fact that she WILL transport enemy troops, as she did during the First World War. -Relatively old liner, meaning she should sink with ease (one or two torpedoes; three at most). -Eventually painted grey. -Despite her age, she can outmatch just about any of our submarines when being pursued from behind; only hope to destroy her is to catch her head-on. -Easy target for acoustic-guided torpedoes, as she normally steams above 16 knots when moving around coastal areas. -Has been spotted in the Irish Sea, the English Channel, Liverpool Harbor, and around Greece (and off the coast of North Africa); mainly stays in range of the Far-East Fleet. -Should be noted for her elegant interior and design. -Early 1940: Aquitania undergoing re-fittings in the United States (to be armed with 6-inch guns). -For the short remainder of the war, she can be spotted in Atlantic waters. -Passenger accommodations heavily changed in 1928 to meet modern standards of the time. ![]() PHOTOGRAPH CIRCA 1914 |

So, hitting her under one of het smokestacks it would be quite lethal as it's one big compartment.
