"Nubs, a German shepherd/border collie mix, came to San Diego a month earlier after friends, family and complete strangers raised $3,500 for the dog's trip out of Iraq."

We need way more stories like this in the news!

Men and their mates...

Serious - what would a guy be without his Swiss pokcet knife, his boyscouting knoweldge, and his best friends - the wolf pack?

This is young Skybird and his first love (suffering from first Judo exercises )

His name was Andor, he was wild in that he had not much control of temper, but he was of very good will and friendly heart. He broke a lot of things and caused quite some trouble, but never because he was aggressive or "bad". He just had too much energy. "Andor on stampede" was a warning call we heared quite often in those years.

Never forgotten friend

Later we had two Dachshounds, and three always free-flying green budgies that spend all their time sharing our lives by sitting on our shoulders all day long - even on open balcony, without cage!

My grandfather also had a pack of hunting dogs. I was the only one, beside him, they allowed to climb into their cage without getting attacked.

...wait, I'm confused...You or the dog?:rotfl:

Nice kid pitures! I only had 1 dog prior to niki, and that was when I was in kindergarden. We had a basenji (sp), but he died as a puppy. I remember taking for a walk and taking him to the vet. (he never came back from the vet). He may have had heart worms??? ...or a black widow spider bite is my theory.

Considering that I was shy and a very careful young boy, I assume the latter!
