Runaway series dead?

I'm a HUGE fan of those old(ish) style 2D drawn adventure games (Lucasarts' Full Throttle, Indiana Jones and of course, the 2 best; Broken Sword 1&2) and I've played the Runaway 1 (I think called Runaway:Road to adventure) and the 2nd, Dream of a turtle. I really really really liked both games, mostly because they feel like the good old 2D games. Anyways, Runaway is supposed to be a trilogy, the story continues from where the last game ended. It's now been 2 or so years (I think) since the release of the Runaway 2. So where's the 3rd game?? The story didnt end in the 2nd, so there should be a 3rd game to finish the story. Anyone have ANY idea?
