I was taking part of "Operation Hartmut" when I came across HMS Nelson. Fired a salvo of two and sank her, only for her to reappear about two hours of game time later. (Did not save the game in between this) Is this a bug with GWX? This is the first time I have had anything like this happen to me.
With that being said this game rocks ![]() Thanks for any help. Spot em early, sink em fast Thrasher |

![]() Quote:
There is no limit in Silent Hunter III (or GWX, for that matter) to the number of times a ship may appear, be sunk, and respawn in a campaign. It is also possible to have multiple versions of the same ship appear at the same time, especially when we've had to use some ships, such as the Nelson-class battleships, to "understudy" for missing battleship types such as the Queen Elizabeth-class. This happens in stock so no it is not a GWX bug.

one thread brought out that a ship will continue to appear until its disappearance date. You could technically sink the Hood ( or any ship for that matter) over and over and over, until its disappearnce date when it was sunk.
