What is the burn-time for ship flares

Need help please.

What is the burn time for ship flares? I'm making a new flare audio sound mod and I'm trying to match the burn-time with the audio of the burning flare.

and

What is the time from firing to the flare appearing?

Thanks Ven

Land based parachute rocket flares take about 10 seconds from launch to 'pop' and have a burn time of 55 to 60 seconds of white light. When launched, they leave a thin smoke trail behind them that allows you to see where they are launched from.
Hand held mini flares burn from launch for 10 to 12 seconds which allows them to burn just over their apogee. They are available in red, white and green.

When they are used near coastal areas the coast guard need to be informed as both types are similar to marine distress flares.

This should give you a good start point until someone can give you stats for marine flares.

Ven, are you asking for real-life values or game values?

You & I know that they're not always the same. Don't want you making a nice new sound for them based on real-life values and then finding it doesn't match the ingame ones.
