 Yes you got it. We know the Mirror Earth was also shattered from the u-genetics war and WW3 and we know from Enterprise the first contact was not a hand shack but the killing of the Vulcan's and stealing there technology which gave rise to the expansion of the Empire. How did the Empire come about? Did one single nation conquer all?
