Anyone else have the water get "stuck"?
I've had this happen a few times now. It seems to happen most when I get near shore of my home port. I don't know if it does it at other ports since I always return to my home port. The water seems "stuck". The entire ocean just jerks back and forth. Is this an old problem or does it happen to anyone else? I have an nVidia 8600GT.

Yes, part of the trade off for Ubi in using some of Dave's work, is the introduction of that jelly effect you are seeing. It seems Dave's words are as true now as they were on LBO's release.
Be in nav map when reducing time compression. Reduce compression all the way to 0. Go back to X1 speed. Enter the command room. Now switch to external views. Problem solved. If you are already at the 'jelly' stage, then go to nav map and increase compression then follow the above steps. |

I acutally went back and used some parts from the stock 1.4 scene.dat because of this. The jelly effect drives me absolutley nuts. I'ts one reason why i went for an alternative method of getting bigger waves to kill the "sub on rails" effect.

Thanks for the tip. I just got that 'Jelly' effect last night when it was raining and I was approaching port.
