Howda folks, well went out on my first patrol "als Deutsche" and low and behold,
I saw a huge "Nevada" class Battleship before my periscope, of course she wasn't alone, plenty of escorts, well after sneaking up on her, I let all 4 fwd tubes fly, this stopped her, I went underneath her, then gave her the rest out the back. Well after ending my patrol, I received the Knight's cross (Ritterkreuz) well I found that kind of odd, because the picture they show is the Ritterskreuz, with Eichenlaub, Schwerter, und Diamanten in GOLD!!! Holy moly, the only guy known ever to receive that was a Luftwaffe guy named: Hans Ulrich Rudel, after completing 2530 missions and destroying
over 547 tanks!
How about just honoring us with the standard medal, then let us work up the ladder! Oakleaf, swords, then diamonds. What was the most amzing thing, i didn't even have the iron cross 1st and 2nd class, which would never have happened. So i f you want it realistic, back to the books dudes!! Gruesse aus der Schweiz!

Very nice problem to have.

I sunk an American flattop and Heavy cruiser on my second patrol and found a Iron cross second class waiting for me back on my desk in Singapore. Those Luftwaffe dudes and skippers like Stary get all the glory.

Speaking of medals, does anyone know of anybody who can do a quick graphics mod to the German medals ( I found them in the textures file). I don't have the skills with photoshop but would really like to see them look historically acurate. Don't get started - I just like to see them look real that's all.
