PCI-E x16 v2 however it is compatible w/v1. So as long as you have PCI-E X16 not AGP your ok

Also, I got another Q, do I need a good power supply? I'm new to installing power supplies.

You should always have a GOOD power supply!

9600 GT has the same specs as a 8800 GS

What is the best watts needed for a 9 series card? But also I need a learning tutorial on how to install a power supply already know how to install video, sound cards and RAM so far.

I think 700 watts + would be good. And make sure the PS has 2, 6+2 pin plugs just incase you want to wait a month and get a 9800GTX or 9800G2.

Might get a few cooling fans and a 1000W power supply if I can if I'm getting a 9800GTX or 9800G2.
