To upgrade or not to upgrade....

that is the question...

Currently I'm in command of the USS Gar a "Gar class" and i know i will be prompted to upgrade soon to a gato.

Should I do it? Or should i be the old romantic and play from 41' to 45' in the same boat??

what do you think

The USS Gar is a Tambor class, precursor to the Gato and the Balao classes.

The Tambor classes are nice and very similar to the Gato classes, but the extra dive depth is nice. That said, I kinda like playing out the same boat to the end.

Yeah, I can live with any Tambor, Gato, or Balao class sub (fleet boats). Pre-Tambor boats are ... lacking in many ways once you get spoiled by the newer boats. Having those 6 forward torpedo tubes are nice!

Yeah, they aren't as fun to play as the Tambor, Gato, and Balao, but that's just me. They do give more of a challenge for sure. To each his own!
