Default Ever been hit by a crashing aircraft?

Has anyone here ever been hit by an aircraft shot-down by your crew (where the wreckage actually hits your ship)? I've had a few close calls, but I've never been hit. I'm just wondering if it's possible (I assume it is).

I think someone posted here that they got hit and some damage to the sub. Me? I dodge.

If you look in the Kamikaze 1945 thread, we discuss this topic. I have had wreckage hit my boat without any damage, but others have taken damage from intact, but damaged aircraft.

Yes several times in fact. Never a pretty outcome.

Then I learned to avoid conflagrations with the winged ones.

I was once hit by a crashing H6K, did me 2 hull damage I think and slightly wounded my deck watch. But that was it. They should do a lot more damage; IRL a kamikaze hit was enough to put most ships out of action for months.

Been hit a couple of times, once had no damage despite a direct hit, another time it was davey jonse for me!

In real life a sub wouldn't survive, some destroyers couldn't survive one hit, and they're bigger than subs!

Aside from when the enemy planes hit eachother, a lot of this is from planes hitting the water surface while attemping a non-level bombing run. The upcoming 'Air Layer' MOD will address this. Planes may still collide with eachother, but will rarely collide with the water surface.
