setting range manual?

Either i'm dumb or something is not working correctly.

I watched some tutorials on manual targeting.
In it it's demonstrated how to set the range by using the mouse in the range-dial.

But i'm unable to do it.
The dials for AOB and speed are working correctly, but not for range.
Tried with TCD on and off.
Entering range via stadimeter and sonar works just fine.

Is this no longer possible in 1.4 or am i doing something wrong?

Regards
Dieter

Default

if you go into say the artillary trainig mission where nothing will bother you, you can play about with the tdc etc.

to set the range manually you just drag the pointer along the top, and then click the red send to TDC button, but if i remember correctly it wont let you manually send a range greater that 4500. if you play with the slider and check the pk you should see the range change on the target range display next to the target speed display on the left.

Thanks for the help.

I found out what was wrong.
Somehow i messed up my commands.cfg
The result was, that i could not turn the range-dial and neither could i use the A-Scope
