My first Manual TDC Kill.

This is my first manual TDC kill, and its been a long struggle to be honest but rewarding. credit goes to the subsim community for the tutorials and videos and helpful advice that personifies this community. so id like to share it with you

plotting target position markers with compass and protractor:

Working out the target course as a bearing from North. could of worked it out as an AOB angle also.

the result:

ive noticed that when you have a good few position markers on the map you notice anomalies like on the scatter graphs you did at school for science after an lab experiment, obviously due to human error and the fact that you cant 100% measure out exact distances on SH4 (an intentional dev decision). so i treat my pos markers like a scatter graph and draw a line of 'Best Fit' to get the target course.

this is really useful when boats 'zig zag' because even though they do so they are actually moving on a set course. imagaine a car going down a straight road but swerving constantly from the left side of the road to the right, even though its swerving or 'zig zaging' it still has has a set course i.e. the road. in silent hunter 4 you just have to find that course and reduce the set target speed to get a hit (to account for the zig zagging). but thats another story.

just wanted to share that with you guys and any new players like myself new to the mysteries of manual tdc.
