I thought it would be a good idea to have a custom mission created that could be freely downloaded via a link, which would allow people to record their course plotting and firing solution in order to take as many ships down as possible.
These videos would show different solutions from different people to the same scenario and would help alot of new players out like myself. It would be nice if the videos contained some kind of narrative (or at least a writen txt file along with the video) explaining how the player decided on the intercept course, the AOB, speed and target, torp spread etc. The videos: i think the videos would be best played at a realistic level, with at least manual targeting so that everyone can benefit from them. even those that use auto aim. The custom mission: I think the ideal custom mission for this would be one with a medium sized convoy with a light escort, at a moderate range from the player starting position forcing the player to intercept the convoy. a post could be stickied with a link to the custom mission and description, with this origional post updated to include links to videos submitted by players that want to share their knowlege and success. this is just an idea, and i would like to see what you guys think. it would be great to get some videos from the SH4 vets who seem to sink ships easily from watching their tutorial videos ![]() regards, ridyard12. |

I agree! The convoy is an excellent scenario. I got wiped out a couple of times when I was learning. The destroyers came at me like sharks that had smelled blood. I went deep and silent and eventually got through but took a pasting later. I think I left my periscope up too long. I would still like to see how some of the real masters handle the situation.
