Default Here's a new one on me

Ya, right, title it "a new one on me", I've had the game a week. I started a career and finished my first mission from Pearl Harbor. When I got back it was dawn so I thought I would take it in myself to see the cooooool ROW stuff I added. (and it is cool, thank you to all who helped, including Dave RIP). Anyway I parked the old tub, and it was an old tub. Musta got that one in WWII . Saved the game. Later when I loaded it up I hear "passing thermal layer" about every 15-20 seconds all the way out of the harbor. Some weather they have in Hawaii. Once I got out of the harbor, I couldn't stand it anymore so I figured I would try a dive and see if I actually went past a thermal layer, maybe it would stop. Well, I got lucky and I passed on on the way down and again on the way up and it stopped.

I just had the exact same thing happen. It was weird, the thermal layer was at about 17 feet, and rough weather had me going up and down through it constantly, though I was on the surface. It wasn't a loop, because there were significant pauses, and the messages coincided with me going up and down.

thermal layer at 17ft now that's wild. You couldn't even get to periscope depth without being under it.

I've not had this happen to me in the stock un-modded game. Maybe it has to do with rough weather in very shallow areas.

I get that sometimes but repeats only twice. A bug perhaps.

I have had that also. One of the mods creating it I'm guessing. It usually stops.

I'm having this happen right now on a brand new campaign on the first mission. I'm sitting just outside Pearl Harbor on the surface and it starts up immediately. I have TMO/RSRD latest versions.

I'm strongly suspecting the mods that change the boyancy model cause this sensitivity to depth in shallow water. The voice triggers are obviously coded for the stock game. The boyancy tweaks I've seen affect many aspects of the flotation model. If you like the mod that much, you'll just have to live with the voice triggers.
