The final school-bell has sounded for children's soap opera Grange Hill, 30 years after it was first launched on the BBC.

The broadcaster has axed the show because it says it no longer reflects the lives of schoolchildren in contemporary Britain.

Who can forget the classic Bullet Baxter, not me. I grew up on this series and to be fair it for great in my day.
