Default Interesting SH3 Commander Concept

I have been playing SH3 using SH3 commander and GWX for quite a while now and there are some who try to play one career through to the end from start of the war to however it ends for their Kaleun.

there are others who turn on the realistic career length and let the chips fall where they may regarding the number of patrols you finish before being assigned a desk job or training position.

but here is something I have started doing...

When SH3 commander pops up and says that your career is over for whatever reason it also says "you are to relenquish command of your boat to your XO"

so... thats what i did, the next career i start is brand new and bears the name of an officer from the previous career (chief engineer in this case) and starts on the date that the last patrol of the previous Kaleun ended.

When this career is over, i will start a new one using an officer from this boat and he will continue where career two ended.

and so on and so on and so on until either dead, or survived the war.

sounds like an interesting way to play through the entire war... when one kaleun retires an officer from within the boat steps up to replace him and this cycle repeats to the end

No apologies necessary. ::smiles:: Great Minds Think Alike, after all.

Maybe we should get together and post together the running 'history' of our particular boats?

That's a good idea. Even though the shooting war might be over for the commander, for the U-Boat the battle has just begun. After all, when was the last time a Type IX was granted a desk job?
