Anyone have any suggestions as to the best area of Norway to hang around during the axis invasion?
Should I try and assist/ protect any of the invasion fleets? Many thanks:p |

Hi Col Frost!
May I suggest you have a look in the GWX manual... One one of the pics about "Operation Weserübung" (which was the codename for the invasion of Norway) you can see the general U-Boat patrol areas along the Norwegan coast. You should be recieving plenty of contact reports about friendly task forces... if you want you can meet upwith them and escort them... or you can help secure the fjords of Trondheim, Harstadt or Bergen etc... generally patrolling in the north western part part of the North sea, around the Orkneys and Scapa Flow areas should be good for intercepting those British task forces. As far as I know what happened in real life was that some U-Boats secured the Fjords and others formed a line around the Norwegan coast to defend the German invasion forces from the Royal Navy.
