Hello shipmates.
I'm having trouble undertanding crew management. I've had a check through the forums and done a quick search, but I haven't found anything comprehensive along the lines of all the other excellent resources in here. Does anyone have something they are happy to link me to? The manual I have is a bit of a joke when it comes to this subject. Basically I am confused about the difference between specialisms, abilities, etc. And which is more relevant to a role. Also about how I get extra crew to fill my gaps. And why I create a permanent gap in the shift by putting someone in a Damage Control role - surely they do their "day job" as well and then get pulled out when I hit the damage control button. As always, thanks to everyone who is helping me in my first foray in sub simulators. Cheers, Dave. |

The extent of my involvement is to promote whenever possible and make sure the one with the highest rank and abilities is Officer of the Watch. That's all i really concern myself with. I have a submarine to run and I trust my Chief of the Boat, whatshisname.:rotfl:

Do a search for "Crew Management" on this forum. There have been very detailed and volumus verbiage attributed to the subject.
