Default Song from "Battle of Britain"

Does anyone know where one can download the theme song from the flick, "Battle of Britain?" Preferably in an .ogg format to make life easier.
I miss having that, after upgrading to GWX2.0.
Thanks!

Are we talking the main Thems from the 1960s movie here? If that's what you want let me know and I'll upload it.

Yes, thanks. It's the one with an all-star cast. Michael Cain I think is in the movie.

Are you using SHIII-Commander. I think the 'randomise gramaphone tracks' setting puts tunes which are right for whichever year you are in. I think july-october 40 were the dates of the battle of britain. Depending on when you are at the moment. I'm just in early july 40, it hasn't appeared on my tracks yet.

Hi!

The song he's talking about is indeed "Lufwaffe March" from Battle of Britain. It is a great tune and well-modeled along the lines of German marches of the period, but it was composed long after the war, so we regretfully removed it from the selection of default GWX gramophone tunes.

There's no reason you shouldn't get Melnibonian's upload and add it to your own set up, though. As I said, it is a great tune!

Pablo

Hi Avatar. It just so happens that I had an open copy of the very old/original first release files for GW on my desktop.

Here is the song you wanted from the Battle of Britain movie made in the 60's: JSGME compatible. It is the same one that Pablo correctly states that we removed.

Very cool piece of music there. I put it at high rez to keep the sound quality for you too.

Here's another one for you, the main theme from the "Victory at Sea" documentaries produced in the 40's, that was also included in the first GW release many moons ago.
