motherboard question

I have been talking to hp for an hour and they give me the runaround,so i think there must be people here who can do wonders with computers.So here is my question .............I have a hp pavillion a1626n pc and i wanted to upgrade the motherboard they dont recomend it,Any one here have the same pc and if so is the mobo upgradable?I can take it to a pc shop and get the board tattoed so thats not a problem.Any thoughts?

after looking up the specs for your system I really cant see why you cannot change your Mobo if you want, but why are you changing it as it supports a fair amount of ram and upgrades in cpus.

I have upgraded the cpu to a 64 x2 5400 .2.8 and its as far as i can go they say(hp)also the mobo does not display temps in the bios,Is there any way i can see the cpu temps in the bio doesnt support it.

Try www.guru3d.com for programs so you can see your board temps that is of course if they support the Mobo you have. But as to upgrading I cant see why you couldn't, best thing to do is probably to go down to your local Computer joint and ask the techs there for info.
