What File Specifies a Submarines Equipment Configuration ?

I'm taking my 1st - baby step - into modding, by recreating some documented war patrols. I started with USS Gudgeon's 1st war patrol, immediately after Pearl Harbor, to the Bungo Suido area. The mission seems to run fine - I'm getting contacts (and note I'm using RSRDC with TM), but, the boat isn't equipped with SD radar. How would I change that ?
