Max windspeed in SH4???

Hello again and merry christmas to u all!

I´m out at sea again confronting some bad weather. But the max speed which the wind is blowing seems to be 15k/s. Is this the limit in SH4 or ???

//Andreas...

PS. I´m using RFB, ROW and RSRDC.

My personal observation is 15 is the largest number the weather reporter is coded to display, but in 1.3, there would be waves that would continue to grow in strength after the report would top out. Since 1.4, I have not seen any waves reaching anywhere near the height they did in 1.3, but I have only played one patrol since 1.4 (which is still pretty new at this time.)

Default Highest wind speed in game is 15 Meters Per Second

But you can adjust values to make that wind speed have more effect over there things in the game.

It is just a determination speed the game uses to decied when effects are to come into play in the game unless you actualy give the wind the ability to change effects.

For instance if there is a wind COEF setting then you can give the wind more influance.

I can set a wind speed at 15mps or 10 mps but if the coef is set to 0 then it dosn't effect anything in the game at those speeds.

But yoou can adjust other settings to make it appear like the wind is actualy doing somthing.

In real life the wind always has an effect but in a game you have to tell it what it effects and how it effects it and what the end results are in physics and visuals.

10 MPS is wave state #3 truly kicked in but even 9mps can start to create sea foam effects on the ocean if set up correctly. In ROW I have it set up in stages of 5. 0 mps 5mps 10 mps 15 mps but made sure the effects built up with the wind speeds and the posability of inbetween wind speeds having some kind of effect.
