Hey there I run the following;

7950 GT OC in 1280 by 960 32 bit 100mhz refresh
AA=8x
AF=16
AMD 64 X2 4800
4 gigs of Corsair RAM

SH4 looks nice and I run IL-2 that way also...

I've got two 7900gs's in SLI and I'm using 2Q AA and 4X AN on a 1650X1050 resolution. Or is it 1680X1050, whatever. 60 mhz refresh rate to match the game setting. Wide screen monitor, refresh choices of either 75 or 60.

Is it not a good thing to have the screen refresh equal the game refresh?

I have an NVidia 8500 GT 512Mb SLI Express and an Athlon AMD 64x2 dual-core 4400+ processor and 2 Gigs of Corsiar DDR2 RAM. I have AA at 8x and AF on 4x. Resolution at 1440x900x75Mhz. No frame drops at all.

2xAA and AF @1024x768, on an antiquated P4 Northwood@2.6GHz (o/ced from stock 2.4), 1250 MB DDR RAM, Radeon X1650Pro 256MB DDR3 version o/ced. Getting a bloody slide-show in foggy weather, but framerate is tolerable otherwise. All in-game graphics settings maxed out.

LCD, you set it to what the manufacturer recommends. Then your done!

If you have a CRT then you kind of have to decide how you run the application, V-sync ON or V-sync off that is the limit, plus the CRT max refresh rate. This all has its caveats and your mileage may vary. You sort of Flavor it to Taste!
